What is the simple approach to attaining a fair selling price for your Tacoma?

Do you agree with BlueBook? Obviously a dealers trade-in value is garbage...

I mainly want to figure out a fair price for if I sold my truck to a fellow Taco-Bro

NADA is usually pretty good. You can take that and Blue book and average it out.
Also, look at similar vehicles with similar mileage for sale in your area on cars.com or autotrader. That will give you a good idea of the market value. Keep in mind, the ones you see on dealer lots will obviously be marked a little high because they know people will negotiate, so there is built in wiggle room.

when I went to sell my 06 AC 4x4 sport in Feb of this year, I checked all the guides and they all said it was worth about 12 K in its condition and mileage. Checked CL and Autotrader and dealers were selling like trucks for 18. Sold mine in two days on CL for 16 K, which was my asking price. And I had multiple people lined up to buy it, but first guy to look at it bought it. He said my price was fair based on trucks he had looked at, mine was spotless. He said all the ones he had looked at were beat to crap.
