Okay, before I complete forget to update this thread for like who knows how long. I ran Bald Mountain the previous weekend with a crew from TW. The smog and smoke definitely wasn't as thick as it was last year, but definitely nowhere near as clear as when I first ran the trail back in 2017. There was also some pretty good carnage. Fun times nonetheless.

This past weekend was just me wasting my time pulling my t-case out to find out the leak I have isn't fixable unless I go with a different shifter unit. Oh well. Guess I'll start send it in the meanwhile and put oil in when it's needed. Time to wait until my 4.7 gear lets go and start saving for a 4speed Atlas. :bananadead:

Mines leaking from the poorly designed rad base. No matter what I do, it leaks.

Yep, that's my issue. I might swap it out for some FROR twin sticks on the t-case to stop the leak. Don't know yet. It only leaks on long drive, so I might just leave it for awhile.

As far as I know, it's just the metal that held the bushing in place that failed. I don't know the whole story. The group I was in took a detour and put is about 30 minutes behind the other group. We arrive with him already pulling everything apart to try and fix it enough so he could limp it to Napa and buy a new LCA.

How did you get the clutch/free spool handle like that? Its super difficult to reach otherwise

It was pretty easy. There's 8 allen bolts that you remove on the side of the M8000. After those are out, you pull the housing off enough to be able to rotate the handle. Just be careful to not pull the housing off the gears inside.

I see you got to help Shay with his LCA problems haha. He just replaced the other one that was heading to a similar fate a couple weekends ago lol.

Helped would be a strong word. I just stood around saying I could drive into town with him so we could get him a new LCA.

Went out and found snow this weekend. Went from Georgetown to Loon Lake and almost made it too the Rubicon trail head. There's not a ton of the ground right now, 3' of snow is pretty good for the beginning of the season. Got stuck a few times, but I was trying to plow a new road in low low and my tires kept getting packed with snow. Ice House Road ended up being a 25 miles of ice, so that was sketchy as shit since I went sideways a few times. Tons of ill prepared (not aired down) vehicles, but t'was a blast otherwise.
