Just found out the care taker that watches the 800 acre's of property just down the road from mine poached 27 does since last year. He is no longer there. We where wondering why we haven't been seeing as many does and why the bass on the private lake we would fish were pretty not there anymore. All you get is little small bass not worth keeping.

He was just letting people in that paid him and they kept everything.

This infuriates me. People always seem to ruin everything when ever they get a chance. The old ways I was taught to honor as a kid seem to becoming more and more forgotten.

heres how I look at it, if you are "poaching" to feed your family and not killing everything in sight then I dont see a problem. If you are poaching for profit or leave the animal there to rot, that pisses me off.

Yeah, this is definitely for profit. Come to think of it, I haven't hardly seen any turkey since last year either. The more I think about the more mad I get.

we got a "bear" hunter that uses dogs, he claims to be tribal so he can hunt all year. But he basically shoots everything he can. Another bear dog hunter hates his guts because he said this guy just kills everything. I kind of had the same feeling since dogs opened up for hunting there were no bears on my bait...now season is closed. but luckily I got my wife on one before the jackass ran the bears out of the county...

Just picked up a recurve bow on my lunch break.
I just discovered the MCAAP hunts here in Oklahoma and they only allow traditional bows. Plus I have public hunting land 5 minutes from my work and another public hunting area 30 minutes from my house. I’ve got lots of practice ahead of me.

Had a really good morning Saw four different buck. Two nice eights a skinny rack eight and an unknown. Also had a doe that hung up about forty yards out and never presented a good shot. Here's a video of the skinny rack eight.

Got home with 5 minutes of daylight left and tested out my new recurve. 1st 6 arrows from about 8 yards getting a feel for aiming. 2nd six arrows from about 15 yards. It is sooo different from shooting a compound bow. I love it!

Well, I've blown my best spot up in my mind (and on here) so much...and I've hunted long enough I really should know better. Tomorrow I'm gonna give it a spin and hope for the best. Prolly be 3 or 4 other guys in there already:annoyed:. Last year I had it to myself but it's public so that could easily change.
Bad or good, I'll give a full report tomorrow night.
    Best of luck everyone!
Don't give up till it's over or you run out of tags.
