Love it. My dad had an 04 Tundra that we took all over the country. He let me use it when I was younger and running a small lawn mowing business. Safe to say we both fell in love with Toyota trucks because of that Tundra.

He got rid of it last year to get an older 4Runner that fit better in their new garage, but couldn’t help himself after seeing my truck lol. He missed the #trucklyfe too much.

This reminds me of my dad's old 95' regular cab we had a long time ago. I now have a 18' DCLB. My uncle has a 04' DCSB and my other uncle has a 15' DCLB. So in the extended family there's one of each generation.

My father in Law bought my 2013 if that counts. Me and him both scored color matched used camper shells recently around the same time too. o_O

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
    Awesome thread!

My Dad likes to think he's the reason I got a Tacoma. I test-drove the 2nd Gen Tundra on a closed off-road course when it was released in 2007, and that experience "sold" me on getting a Toyota truck as my next vehicle. After sharing my experience with my Dad and my interest in buying a Tundra - he was the voice of reason and suggested I look into a Tacoma, since I was commuting for work and really didn't need a full-size rig (no towing, anyway). He made sense and I was wise enough to actually listen.

I picked-up my 2011 Tacoma Sport, DC/LB in MGM on 10/18/2010. 2 Months later, he purchased the EXACT same rig, but in Pyrite Mica. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery! :p

It has been a great mutual interest for us; we are always picking eachothers' brain about mods and upgrades. I never have a problem finding gift-ideas or things to get him for his truck. I have helped him with all sorts of mods and installations and have given him many of my old parts to use on his truck (old OME Suspension Lift, DIY Hidden Winch Mount, old Wheels/Tires etc.).

My Brother and I have also welded together a Front & Rear Plate Bumper for him, which was awesome! He was looking at ordering a set of Road Armor Front & Rear bumpers (which would've been close to $3000 for both) - and that's when I asserted my strong opinion of that bumper choice. I convinced him to order a NWTI DIY Kit that we (my Bro and I) would weld for him. NWTI is semi-local to us, so he could pick them up and save a sh*tload of $$$ and get a better product (IMHO). We were also able to modify and customize it to suit his needs and wants a bit more. All in all, he is very pleased with his Tacoma and it has been a great way for us to bond a bit more!

Not a father son thing for me but rather brother/sister. Started with my sis getting a used black 91 toyota pickup in the late 90's. She later moved on to a few other brands before coming back to a Tacoma, a green '13 AC that she bought new while I was on my second Tacoma. First had a red '01 AC and currently a blue '09 DC. Sorry, we don't live near each other so no pics of the '13 and '09 together. Mines modded and hers is stock.

No that’s how the Trd off fender flares look, they’re not color matched like the other trims.
