Doing the oil change on my 2018 OR V6 soon and was wondering if 5-20 full syn would be acceptable to use or should I stick with 0-20..which is what I believe the manual calls for? :)

The manual says to use 75W gear oil for the Tcase and dealers use 75W90. On the Toyota cars the manual calls for 0W16 and the dealer uses bulk 0W20. The manual is a guide not a bible.

You’re fine with 5W20 you could even use 5W30. If it’s synthetic, which it most likely is, it’ll flow to -30, -40 anyhow.

This is a hot topic. There is a thread here in which the OP says the same engines in other countries are specified to use heavier weight oils than the US. I have used 5W30 in mine for years without problems. Might go to 10W30.
