Good morning, TTC! Not currently an official member (long time lurker though!), so hope you guys don't mind... just figured this might be the best place to ask a wide range of Texans with plenty of experience.

I will be going on a road trip to the Georgetown/Austin area soon. Are there any fun scenic dirt roads I can venture through? I have a 2wd, so I figure Hidden Falls might not be a good idea. I've read about the Regency Suspension Loop (might be a tad too far out though), but other than that I don't know much about the area and just looking for some ideas.

    TIA for any opinions/ideas!

You're welcome to post in here anytime my sister. Hidden falls has trails for all levels!

Hoping some of the crew chimes in a little bit. Safe travels!

Thanks! I've seen a few videos of some of the easier trails in Hidden Falls, but videos always seem to make it look easier so I wasn't sure.

I can’t really weigh in on the overlandy stuff, almost everything out here is private. @Beretta4x4 and @05prerun82 fpund a cool looking area though.

As for HF, while I’m quite a novice towards the park, you can putt around in a 2wd for a day on the park roads and have fun. Not sure how entertaining it’ll be after a day though. Everything is easily accessible now that the park roads are marked on google maps but it can be a bit intimidating for a first visit especially alone

we do have a plethora of mall rated gatherings going down soon tho and isn’t standing around a parking lot in the cold more fun than wheeling anyway?

sorry I’m in a weird mood this morning. Traffic blows

@ChadsPride does that guy with the blue third gen on FB (Kyle maybe?) have t dub? He posts videos of the easy trails that could give ya a feel for things. Park roads are pretty modest though if you want to stick to that and get a Sunday stroll around the park

Wasn't that birthday boy? He's got the vids on youtube as well as his instagram, see below...

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJ6QivYpd_KTOwlXwTVAoAA

Most of the vids are actually his gf or wife (not sure which one) of driving the trails so that'll give you a good idea of what the level 1's look like

No worries, traffic can do that!

HF might actually be kind of perfect then as I won't have more than a day-ish for the venturing around anyway.

Most likely the 15th-17th of this month. The trip is mostly to visit the in-laws, but going to try to set aside some time to venture around since the area has much more to see than Houston.
