Alright, now the question is spacer or different settings? What is the better option or does it matter?

I wouldn't mess with the settings on a 2nd gen because they will be under two different preload settings. Get the spacer and you will be more accurate.

did the same setup except i went with the general spring HD for rear leafs

set at #3 gives me about 1.5" up front and the GSHD's the same in the rear

really happy with them, and the setup really shines at 35+ mph and especially at freeway speeds. Just amazingly smooth

You use any spacers up front for side to side lean on your set-up? Heard nothing but good things about these 6112/5160. Excited to get them on

If you were to call Bilstein, they'd probably tell you to install at different settings. Everyone else would probably tell you it really doesn't matter. Using a spacer accomplishes the same thing but lets you finer tune the outcome.

Yup just do the spacer. Every Tacoma will have some sort of taco lean. Atleast from what I’ve see anyway

So what about the driveline vibe? Does the carrier bearing need more shimming? I'm about to drop the same kit in my 12 TRD OR.

Both you all have nice looking set-ups. I am checking out your build pages. Quick question. Did you use any wheel spacers or did you achieve that stance with the 0mm offset SCS wheels?

To get rid of my take off vibes I went with a single piece driveshaft.

No spacers, just the SCS +0 with 33s

this is generally going to be different for every single type of Tacoma. If you have a long bed, the likelihood of any vibes are kept to a minimum because of the extra foot length on the truck and it keeps the angle less extreme and less likelihood for any vibrations. I have a 2013 long bed and only used the carrier bearing drop. I have the heavy dakars as well with no vibrations. I know a lot of people that have the short bed trucks like your off-road version, that had to deal with specific vibrations depending upon how much weight you have in the back of the truck and how high the lift is. The carrier bearing drop is a good place to start but you may have to shim it afterwards. It would be a very good idea to measure the angles of your driveshaft first to give you a better idea of how you can proceed after the list is put in and then measure your angles after the left is put in to see what degree Shim you need to use to minimize vibration. Some people have just used the standard 3° Shim but some people need one less and have gone with a 2° or 1° Shim to lessen their vibes.
