... With 3rd gen trd sport coils. The front sway bar had to come off and the ucas are hitting the coils with full droop. The clip on the shocks are set on the bottom groove.

It rides nice but the body roll... I'll be putting the sway bar back on.
I've read other threads mentioning something about a sway bar relocation kit. Who makes it?

No way the 3rd gen coils should be hitting the sway bar with only one inch of lift. I’m using HS2 2” lift coils from headstrong off-road and they clear it completely.

    You either:

    1. Installed the cups on the 5100s upside down and got too much lift or;

    2. Badly need an alignment because the caster is off.

    Thanks for that....
1- the cups are installed correctly, dropping down over the clip. I measured it this morning and it added 1" of lift from the flare to the center of the hub

    2- that is possible...

The coil is hitting the UCA not the sway bar.
Now that it's back together, I'll try to put the sway bar back on.

Ho Lee crap! I have yet to see that much plumbing in a wheel well. That is impressive.
This all started because I need new shocks. The truck has 316k miles on it and I figured the coils are tired by now. Found take offs inexpensive from a 3rd gen. Now, not wanting to squat, I got the Icon 3 leaf progressive aal. That and 5100s in the rear are this weekend's project.

And if the suspension God's are looking favourably upon me, I'll pull the fronts, and grind down the UCAs a bit for clearance.
    :fingerscrossed:
@b_r_o Thanks for the link. :hattip:

As I think about this some more, my issue in connecting the sway bar link to the spindle could have been that the suspension was dropped to far down. I tightened the lower shock bolt by jacking up on the LCA. To preload it.

@jeff b this is more maintenance than a build. I could not justify looking for 2nd gen springs from a later model compared to how inexpensive the third gen springs were.

If it’s just hitting the UCA at full droop, put everything back together, get an alignment, and enjoy. I seriously doubt you’ll wheel hard enough for it to make a difference

Verrrrrry little off road. My Wheeling is on the highways. But now that I'll have a lil more clearance, I might go find a place to see what it can do.
