Just started on me. What could it be. When I go from a stop gradually building speed it shakes pretty good.

If it doesn’t happen in 4wd it could be your driver CV needle bearing. Somewhat of a common issue, but usually more when you are lifted.

    Are you lifted?

$20 says your “leveling kit” killed your CV needle bearing on the driver side...pretty much any lift over 1.75” will cause it to happen because the needle bearing is shite.

You will need to replace it with the ECGS clamshell bushing if that is the problem. I went through two of them before I finally fixed it the right way. You can YouTube ECGS bushing install on 3rd gen tacoma

If it DOES do it in 4wd it could be something else. Doe it feel the EXACT same in 4wd?

Could it be the carrier bearing

I would look into other options...like your carrier bearing being loose or bad as stated above. That’s a way easier fix.

Mine was barely noticeable in 4wd when the needle bearing went out

Just an update on my truck with the exact same vibration issue if it helps anyone... I had a couple more months tread on 90k stock Firestone Destination LE2’s. I was checking anything I thought it might be and noticed by running my hand over the inside tread that the tread was uneven and starting to separate. Took it in for 4 new Firestone’s and the vibration is gone.
