car crash today :(

    Just got $726 for my front bumper on my Gen 2. State farm came wanted me to use their shop, I said no. I have a guy who will fix. The check will come next week in my name.

    awesome man thnx for the info....my grille is also cracked all the way thru and the plastic piece of my headlight housing where it clips is broken too...plus my blinker....they should have to pay for that stuff too....better anyway

    Is it paid off? Because if not they'll cut the check to you & the loan company which will require you to restore the truck to factory spec. Otherwise if no loan, you can do what you want with the money.

    got my first estimate....$1847....thats using new toyota parts tho....the insurance adjuster will estimate it based on cheaper aftermarket parts :( oh well half of that would b good with me tho thatd almost pay for my relentless fab bumper! woo!...gunna have to wait on gettn it for a tic tho :/....oh and i missed ur post, yes i have a loan on it still...but they told me the check was gunna b written out to me only

    insurance adjuster came out and estimated me at 1700!! lot more that i fig id get :)

    I think as long as the money was going to replace the bumper (aftermarket or not), the loan company won't care if it's written to you.

    haha no kidding! the estimator was really nice and he was fast...think it helped that i had already gone and got an estimate from someplace else...and dont worry when i get the check, and situated in my new bunk more than half of it is yours :p
