For those who added an aftermarket radio and running Apple CarPlay/Android Auto (wired); where did you run your cable?

Or did you add a USB port to one of the knock out panels?

    I’m just looking for ideas.

I ran a cable in my last build and had a nice little lightening cable for my iPhone, when the cable failed, I had pull the dash apart. Install a knockout port. IMHO

I used a CRUX harness that retained my backup cam and steering wheel controls, it also came with an adapter to use the stock USB port.

Will the stock port with Apple CarPlay?
I was under the impression it would only charge the phone; it can’t provide a USB connection to the radio.

The USB/Aux in the dash go to the radio. The 2 USB in the center console are power only.

sure thing. Depending on your setup you’ll need an adapter but it definitely works.
