Its a kia & his dad wagon. Unless he needs all that power to get to the daycare he should be ok with the anemic 117hp from factory

Vendors are by law fair game. Regardless I’m on the wait list to buy one so for me it’s product not marketing that matters.

Where did you find that information? What do they rate the RC62F at?

Went by the Magnuson booth at SEMA and spoke to a rep for a while about the product. Seems to be a well thought out product that will be more than adequately cooled so there shouldn't be any reliability issues. I asked what would happen worst case scenario if the S/C fails, and the bypass valve (used for better fuel economy when not in boost ie: freeway) can be ziptied open and then the truck will run like a normal N/A motor and the S/C will be a huge expensive intake manifold, which is awesome for those actually going in to the back country with their trucks. The only thing that concerns me is reliability of the drive line. I asked if they had communicated with the transmission company to know power ratings, and that was a no. They were quite confident that our modern transmissions are grossly over built and the power this setup will be making is nowhere near the limit of the trans. Time will tell.

    Nowhere near the limit....

    a) SC isn’t making that much power.
    b) Tranny has tons of head room.

I’m gonna vote (b) and live with the consequences.

Maybe I missed the memo, but which vehicle is it that has been universally mocking our existence, having their way with us leaving a traffic light? Which vehicle shall feel our collective wrath first? (Insert mad scientist laugh here.) Cuz', you know...I want to drive them before me as the dust before the wind. And all...

It’s usually some college aged Hyundai or some other crossover thingy. Lump them all together and have your fun.

I have some experience in that realm. Just knowing you can leads you to buy it...and not install it. Because, you know you could...if you installed it. P1-SC w 3-row intercooler, bought for my G8-GT in 2010, still in the box. Because with intake, headers and tune, I haven't needed it yet. Those Aussies have their shit in one sock when it comes to putting LS power in 4-door grocery getters.
