Just put mine on. Pretty easy to install. Look and work great. Just a question though. On the driver side did anyone else's come close to hitting the area where it sticks out for the grounding cable?? Also, was anyone else's hood off just a hair. I think mine was way before this, but I just wanted to see if anyone else had problems near that area!

Here is a picture of what I am talking about guys...and from this picture it appears that the hood was off way before the hood strut install. I think the bug guard that the guy before me put on bent it. I have circled that areas for you to review. The black circles show how the drivers side is further down then the passenger side. And the red shows that more black weather stripping shows on the passenger side than the driver side. Please tell me what you think!

try adjusting the pads on the corners of the hood to see if it drops a little more so the gaps arent bad.

Excuse my dumbness but what pads lol. Also, could the hood being off a bit cause any problems?? It has not caused any to date.

there are little hood adjustment pads, or whatever you want to call them on the front of the hood in the corners. There circle black rubber pieces, just give them a few turns clockwise and see if it helps.

Also, those that installed when mounting the bottom brackets did you have any problems with silicone? The area that I was supposed to screw the brackets in at had a type of silicone. So I slid the brackets over the divots about a quarter of and inch away. Worked great and raised the hood a bit higher! Anyone else do this?

BTW, i dunno if there is a diference in the EZ down from redline and the one from DeeZee, but the DeeZee one states on the package that it's for 2005-2009.

I used a razor and cut it flush so it would fit. Mine came out OK I guess. I was a hair off on one side. No big deal, looks great.

I just got off the phone with DeeZee and from what i can tell they are the same kit and they know about the issues with it and have gotten calls about it.
So if you buy the DeeZee one you'll have problems too.:(

Can someone please post a couple of pictures of the tailgate down drivers side cable/taillight area of an 05 - 07.

    thanks Denis
