Are people having issues with the RXT’s? I haven’t read about a vibration. I assume they would be many time better than my medium Dakars that now sit flat and have no “U” to them anymore

Did yours show visual signs of wear? Or did you just replace them to give it a shot?

After installation at option 2 I developed the takeoff shudder. Chalked it up to driveline angles & installed 3 degree shims....shudder still there...

    Same...

Didn't read any bad reviews before buying either.

Meh.....my shudder is barely noticeable so not going to worry about it for now.

Option 2 here. Initially had vibes between 60 and 70 ish. Measured driveline angles and did a 1.5 deg shim and cb drop. Still suffer from vibes. Removed drive shaft and replaced cb and all ujoints plus had it balanced. Still Vibing. This shit is all to annoying.

I’d rather be one and done that have to fix other shit. What would be the Deaver equivalent to the RXT pack on option 2?

I have an Extang Solid Fold tonneau on an empty bed. I got 4 in. of lift total, of which I estimate about 3.6 in. from the leaf pack, and 0.4 in. from the leaf liners (1/16 in. x 7 layers). Took it for a test drive afterwards and got up to 50 mph. Did a few hard launches and a few coast-downs from different speeds. No driveline vibes and no squeaking after 4 months and three wheeling trips.

A bit. I could see the drive shaft wasn't fully centered and I could push it up/down half an inch, maybe more. Visually it looked fine, but the rubber was obviously getting kind of soft

Ah ok. I felt some play in mine when I was checking it after greasing the u-joints. Visually mine look fine too. Seen some pics of horrific ones

Are 3-deg shims supposed to help with takeoff shudder? The front of the diff pinion swings up on takeoff (opposite to wheel movement). If a lift made the driveshaft angle large, on takeoff the axle wrap should actually reduce the driveshaft angle?

There’s a couple threads and YouTube videos that break it down to a science how to measure angles and figure out the degree of shims you need. I guess it depends on the severity and tolerance level. I’ve got really minor shudder around 15mph. Nothing unbearable nor jolting

Yeah a lot of people on here just guess on shims. Its one of the few shortcomings of TW haha

You really need to measure each angle and work to balance them out

I'm running option 1 and have zero vibs. What shocks are you guys that are experiencing vibrations running? I have kings with comp adjusters.

No vibes at all on mine with RXT leaf pack on setting 1 paired with Eibach Pro Truck Kit shocks.

Thanks for the tech tip @ARCHIVE I see what you're saying and it makes sense. I've been chasing down this vibe with Andrew at AccuTune and we can't get it figured out, tried/replaced a lot and always still there. Never terrible, but it's there.

Installed my RXTs last night. Running it at Option 2 and paired with Kings w/ adjusters. I’m not experiencing any shudders or vibrations (I hope I wont jinx myself...) I do have a CB Drop which I previously had on when I had an AAL set up. The only shims I have on are the shims that came with the OEM leaf pack which I then added to the RXT pack.
