Same reason many states don't have safety inspections - unsafe vehicles don't cause nearly as many fatalities as DUIs, cell phone users, girls putting on makeup behind the wheel...

This could probably be a thread on its own, but I can't stand anything on my dash, - anything at all is a total distraction. Dose anyone else out there feel this way?

Same way, had an uncle get his jaw smashed by a pipe wrench he tossed on the dash before getting into a collision. Told myself that nothing goes up there except dust.

Diseases are not contagious for the most part. Can’t catch cancer or MS from someone.

I considered posting this in the a-hole parking thread, but thought it might be a little too insensitive of me. :burp:

I believe this does qualify as asshole parking. There’s no provision requiring the assholes in question survive their parking attempt.

It was the Porsche occupants that died and not anyone in the building, correct?

The link I read didn't specify who died.

While I am not really a fan of the government telling me everything I can and cannot do, vehicles like this are why states make vehicle inspections mandatory.

When common sense won't tell someone that something is unsafe to drive, I guess the government has to step in and force it in some cases.

I am almost to the point where I want mandatory requirements to have headlights aimed whenever the bulbs are replaced due to the number of idiots buying $20 eBay LED headlights and sticking them into their halogen housings then thinking that they now suddenly control the power of the sun, while blinding everyone they meet with their new and improved scatterbeam unfocused headlights. (Holy run-on sentence, Batman!)

Why is it called common sense when it is so uncommon?

Do y'all not have Zaxby's or Bojangles?

Popeyes is good and all that but it isn't like a chicken sandwich is difficult to find on a Sunday.

I keep a ball cap on my dash.

It sits atop the radar detector such that I can see the display and the other end of the RD is unobstructed. :D

I haven't used a radar detector in years as I thought most jurisdictions were going with LIDAR.

Do you still frequently encounter radar traps?

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
No Popeye's, no Bojangle's, no Zaxby's. Chic-FIL-a is OK but not worth the drive. Welcome to PA.

None of that in PA either. Local municipalities can only use VASCAR. State Popo only uses radar.

Not sure, I read it as the car crashed into a building killing two people. Not the occupants of the car. :notsure:
