Nice work, very clean install! How does that skar bang? Shakes your mirror and rattles your chest? Been looking at the Rockville w12k6 for a single sub in a ported box. What made you do the speakers as well? I did my headunit upgrade with a pioneer unit and with crossover and tuning my speakers don't seem to be needing an upgrade if I go with the sub. You go with a sealed or ported box?

p.s sorry for 20 questions lol

I was actually surprised that the stock speakers still sounded decent but I knew they wouldn’t handle the extra power of the amp so that’s why the upgrade on the mids. As far as how the skar sounds I still don’t know, waiting on the enclosure to show up still. It shouldn’t be to overwhelming, it’s a sealed box. I was really aiming for a super clean and high sound quality build. I’ll post up pics when the sub is in.

Nice system. Wishlist items for sure. On a different car, I've been running a JBL sub in an enclosure under the front passenger seat. It works well.

I’m glad to hear yours works well. I’ve been worried about how mine will perform.

Being so close in the cab, it blends very well. Plus the passenger gets to "feel the bass". :)

How did you keep your rears from rattling the black plastic mounting area like crazy? I have to run all my lows up front so the rear doesn't rattle. Hopefully I can dig into a solution soon. Any pointers?

I guess I must have gotten lucky. I didn’t do anything special as far as mounting and I have no buzzes or rattles. Sorry, no help I know.

OP, did you get new black scuff plate screws put in yet?

i like the Double Din setup
    however!
i do not like the idea of losing my little storage pocket right there
and I have the stock speakers still, although the rear ones I have never thought to be loud enough as expected, cannot really hear them even after adjusting the fader on the head unit

whenever I put mine in the rear I bought some msg boars at Home Depot and made a ring that fit the speaker. I haven’t had any problems with rattling since. It looks like you can also buy them on Amazon.
