Same issues on ours. Can't remember the year, but 05 or 06 sounds right.

Will the exhaust hanger not get too hot and melt some rubber?

My Brother-in-law has this same issue. I recommended that he pull the battery cable and turn on the lights to drain any residual power. That should reset the unit. He never reported back, so I'm assuming that it is either fixed or he hasn't done it yet.

    Nice trophy!

I had the kazoo sound during heavy cross winds. Except we could see the passenger side mirror vibrating during the noise. Seemed like wind would catch it and just rattle/vibrate the thing to death. I installed some weather stripping around it and it hasn't happened since. I'll have to take a picture. It's so inconspicuous that I forget about it completely. In fact, I probably haven't thought about it in years until I read this.

Changed the oil and air filter for the 75000 mile change. A couple more minor changes until the big one at 90k. That will be the diffs, transfer case, plugs, oil, cabin and regular air filter, possibly the brakes. It will be an all day affair. Should make it to the summer, possibly even early fall, we'll see.

Thanks! I’m planning on doing that too with my rear bumper also but there’s already a powdercoat on that. Just waiting to get some more cash and get it sandblasted and powdercoated. Probably have to wait till next summer though. I already have enough powder to do them

I decided to order the 275's in Falken Wildpeaks C-load. its only a .5in smaller diameter, and .5 in width difference than the 285's but i figure I can probably avoid any potential CMC needs for now, minimize the potential headaches for now and a slightly skinnier tire i think should do better in snow. Im only at 60k miles on the truck so I figure id give these a shot, if I like them and want to get more aggressive with next time around I can as I get closer to 100k.
Another reason i did the wildpeaks cause they were one of the few 275s in c-load offered on DTD, if I wanted to do the Ko2s id have to go e-load which im thinikin is overkill for me at the moment with the amt of highway driving I do.
There was an additional 3/32s of tread depth on the wildpeaks, that surely translates to longer life of the tire right?!?

Picked up my SOS Offroad Concepts bolt on sliders today, just in time for the cold weather to set in. Gonna have to get a little creative I guess on getting them painted since I don't have heat in the garage.
