Hey guys, planning a trip to Flagstaff / Grand Canyon / Page / Grand Escalante trip over the week of Christmas.

Any recommendations for the area? I have an extensive list, but maybe someone will have something exciting for me to check out.

    Thanks in advance!

Alstrom Point: often windy, but an incredibly beautiful overlook of Lake Powell.

Havasupai Point when in Grand Canyon. No fires allowed, but its nice to be able to camp right on the edge of the rim. Itll be really cold though.

Not sure about offroading but if you want a cool detour photo-outing go to Antelope Canyon in Page. Either Upper or Lower, Upper is more crowded though.

Lee's Ferry is a nice little campground with water, flush johns (no shower) and lots of Mormon and Indian history. Its the put in point for the Colorado rafters and has some great hikes. https://www.desertusa.com/colorado/leeferry/du_leeferry.html

House Rock Road runs through Vermillion National Monument. Nice drive and the entry point to hiking the Wave https://www.arizonahighways.com/explore/scenic-drives/house-rock-valley-road

Cliff Dwellers has a pretty good restaurant (best Shrimp tacos I've eaten) https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaur...9-Lees_Ferry_Lodge-Marble_Canyon_Arizona.html

Mid to late afternoon at Navajo Bridge National Monument is a good chance to spot a Condor. https://utahsadventurefamily.com/navajo-bridge-california-condors/

Have fun and post back with pics and a TR

There's a shitload of trails around Page/Powell. I've only ever done them in a razor, but most you could do in a truck. Smokey Hollow is pretty mellow and a fun day

How to get to said rim? Just purchased a tent for my bed and I'm dying for some spectacular views to wake up to.

most likely closed right now. Requires a camping permit from the Grand Canyon back country office. You have to drive through Indian reservation which will cost about $25 I think. Can’t camp at havasupai point but there are some campsites around there. I can’t remember the exact way to get there. But you should be able to get directions on google maps.
