On the plastic it’s still like new. The fabric dye has faded a bit on the backseats due to storing gear back there, people, dog, etc.

We’ll 90% of the trucks plastic inside so that seems like the route I may go!

Yeah it’s really held up great. Shockingly so, in my opinion.

During the first version of a platform the Rubbermaids were phased out, now the 17 industrial Steriltes are the ticket- stronger (you can sit on them- a piece of ply makes it more comfortable - and they still close) They are also more weather tight.

A new version of the tarp is in design phase- going to u-bolt 1-1/4” pvc conduit to the bed frame attached to the Yakima bars and assemble a U-shaped frame of 1”pvc conduit to slide inside the fixed ones on the rack. Drill indexing holes in each and then slide the rack in and out and use some pins with keepers to hold it in place. Should have it done by spring once I get through the honey do list. I scored some telescoping poles to support the far end, the tarp will just have to be set up and taken down, but a cheap awning will be the result.

Next up will be the 95.5-97 headlight swap and some Hella H4 lenses after I get the aux fuse panel and wiring redone.
    Always something.
FC on the front range is some fine country- a bit busy these days. It’s been about 30 yrs since I lived in Estes Park, can’t even imagine what a zoo it must be up there. Enjoy the time with your young un and get her out in the woods.
    Cheers

With 1/4" weather strip in the Rubbermaid's lid groove, those Action Packers are water tight. Pressure washer didn't even do anything to them.

However since I'm now in an '04 Double Cab, space is a premium. I've been looking at FrontRunner Wolf Packs: https://www.frontrunneroutfitters.c...MImK3QxaTX5QIVMhh9Ch1UuQQoEAQYASABEgIrOPD_BwE

Smaller and more manageable. Will also help me pack less crap :)

I'm going to subscribe to your build thread just to see this.

Cheers, man. I hear you on the crowdedness. 7 more years on the front range, then I'll have options.

Thanks for the interest, your build is coming along very well, hard choice to keep the rig- don’t envy you on that one.
Probably take awhile to get the bits together as the budget rears it’s un attractive head. Probably have it sorted by this spring. The interesting part will be configuring things to reduce rubbing wear on the tarp.
I’ll try to get it done this year but the honey do list is substantial.

Do you know what year Odessey sprayers work for the mod you did on your rig- stock is so anemic it’s almost dangerous for cleaning the windshield- especially driving in and out of the park- they mix bentonite clay in with the gravel which is a pain, becomes like a tan-brown thin gravy that gets all over the place.

Less crap is the ticket- I found the Sterilites 15 gallon: http://www.sterilite.com/SelectProduct.html?id=810&ProductCategory=277&section=6
and the 27 gallon to be pretty good: http://www.sterilite.com/SelectProduct.html?id=811&ProductCategory=277&section=6 they have a smaller footprint, might be higher, very sturdy.

Thanks Madjik, they are on the way, that will be a very useful upgrade. Picking up the PVC this weekend, hope to start on the dirt bag awning upgrade soon, redoing some wiring( aux fuse panel and big 3 upgrades) and new Anzo HIDS. New cup holder tabs, just ongoing items checked off the list.629CE6FE-9BD4-4114-B1EA-2C6968F0A730.jpg
Also doing some non Taco work on the diesel battery cable replacement- mega corrosion and cleaning up some repair shop wiring. Always something
Oh yeah and the OEM spare steelies- done! Not the best photo but...

I’m hoping so. The tan drove me nuts. The radio bezel and the window switch trim plus the trim around the cup holders im considering painting cement grey just to have some contrast and match the truck.

Beautiful. Is the Tundra upper dash OEM black or did you do that too? Looks amazing.

Eh. It’s not tooo bad. But I work for the dealer.. so these old dashes are nothing compared to the new cars!

If I did it again I would find a dark grey dash (those existed, my door panels are dark grey). Took 4-5 coats on each piece because the damn tan kept showing through
