Yep. Optimally, rotating it 180 at the head of the shock so it sits parallel to the frame between the bump and rear hanger. Should have enough slack with it rotated.

JD Fab has 2 kits. They have a kit with uppers, lowers, N shock hoops cost was just under $3k. Only thing you cut off is the oem shock bucket. You can use a lift spindle from fabtech or doetsch. Downside to the kit is it uses lower balljoints.

They have an Extreme LT kit that comes with uppers, lowers, and fully fab spindles that us D35 hubs so you can use 6 lug wheels that is almost $4k. But you cut off the oem shock bucket completely and weld new upper control arm mounts and have to do custom shock tower which will tie into your engine cage. And already has mounts on the lowers for bypasses.

Kit alone without shocks is not $5k

I don’t think I shared pics in here since I installed the supercharger. It’s fabulous by the way. I was totally zooming by trophy trucks stuck in the sand, which 4wd helped with that too lol, but huge improvement. Also got our first win in our class for this series. This race was in Knolls, Utah.

Thank you for the clarification, I must have been confused along the line there! I appreciate you including that the spindle from fabtech or doestsch can be used as well with the kit. That was a question I had in the back of my mind if it would be worth it to buy the spindles, and it be able to tie into a kit later on. Definitely seems that the JD kit route is overall the best choice in my case haha. How have you enjoyed your kit so far and how much ground clearance would you say you gained with the kit versus the lift components you had prior? I've read through your build a couple of times it looks great!

sorry to pick your brain but there's little info besides from people who own these trucks

Yes, that JD kit is perfect, I must have confused the kit prices I apologize. Been a long week at work, but appreciate all the help you guys have given!
And yeah I wouldn't want a less stable feeling ride if able to avoid that lol.

I like the kit so far. It my truck about the same height n clearance as a 6 lug preunner. You will have to do rear leafs cuz you'll get the bro lean where the front is taller then the rear.

There is also ESB Fab that makes a 5 lug kit that use a pickup 4x4 spindle. The pickup 4x4 spindle uses the pickup brakes n hubs. You just put the passenger side on the driver n driver side on passenger due to the pickup being front steer n 5 lug rear steer. Also the 4x4 pickup spindles can use a lower uniball instead of balljoint.

Well still good stuff. I’m curious if you’ll end up upgrading the rear end. All depends how much you push the truck.

Straight line through terrain is an advantage for beams but arms are better for cornering and on pavement if you are driving a lot on the freeway and have to make quick moves it’ll help with arms having less body roll.
    not 6 lugs. What’s your question? I had a +2.

No current active members that I know of. @mahaloTaco was the only 2nd gen regular cab I saw on here with a 3.5 recently. @tacokid09 had the dirt designs kit. Some first gens but not many.
