The instrument cluster on my truck was very badly scratched up when I got it. I removed it when installing a new head unit. It's remarkably easy to remove.

I used PlastX followed by Mother's Plastic Polish and got it perfectly clear.

The best way I have found to dust (everything including TV's, lampshades and blinds) is to spray some distilled water on a microfiber cloth and wipe.
