    2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road
    Just sold my heirloom 1990 Toyota 4WD Extended Cab "HiLux" with 130,000 original miles and very straight body and cherry interior (yay cupholder!) for a.... CPO 2018 Tacoma Off-Road with 16K on it. Ran straight away into the nightmarish tranny trouble of gear search, cruise control RPM surge, bog at high altitude take-off, et cetera. And, of course, finding the local dealer to be stymied at "everything's fine". Not to me, it isn't nor is 14.9mpg at cruise control set at 75mph and the RPM's pegging at 3,400 while on an empty interstate. So, I'm here for answers, commiseration and eyeballing this OVTune thang. Currently, I am trying to track down as to whether this particular vehicle has had the latest TSB + ECU flash for the transmission [ * T-SB-0062-18 - though have read this was for high-altitude lack of "go" at gas pedal only versus the gear searching and CC RMP surge at 70+mph settings ].... Please feel free to direct me as to running down what to tell Toyota Customer Service and this local dealer to get them to dive deeper than just the surface diagnostics (they have ignored repeated attempts to pass along the regional service manager's contact information).
