hey guys I’ve run into my first problem with my truck I have a 2000 sr5 prerunner 2wd 3.4 auto, and nothing is aftermarket except the tires I’m running 31x10.5r15 bfg ko2’s which are showing signs of weird tire wear on the front end. The stearing does not feel loose and the rear tires are wearing evenly but the front right (passenger side) seems to be wearing faster than the rest of my tires. I am thinking it could be the wheel balance is off. I couldn’t tell if the wheel bearings were loose and I don’t think they were the issue, do you guys think it’s my balance or is it something else?

Rotate the tires F to R. That should give you a clue if its the tires.

Get your tires re-balanced. Switching front and rear tires might help locate the problem, but keep in mind that's not going to fix it, it will just transfer the poorly balanced wheel to the rear.

I'm betting it's about time to look into replacing your bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, etc... A whole front suspension refresh. You might consider doing that, then getting it aligned as well.

When was the last time you had an alignment? In addition to tire pressure, worn suspension parts can also cause uneven tire wear as well as other issues (handling).

Back when I had my 2000 I cured this by replacing front shocks/coils and while I was at it I replaced the tie rod ends. Rotated the tires and once the cups wore out of the tires I put on the back I was happy

I bought this truck Monday I am going to rotate them myself tonight to see if that will narrow down the issue

On my last rig, my lower control arm bushing were so worn out it was causing shaking into the wheel. You have to take the pressure off by removing the coilovers to be able to rock them back and forth and truly see how bad they are worn.

I used to have annoying steering wheel shaking at 55+mph. I tried rotating and rebalancing, and the problem persisted even when I got new tires.
What fixed it was when I bought an entire set of wheels (from a 2nd gen). So *somehow* one of the rims were bad and it couldn't be fixed with balancing?

I actually fixed my problem by rotating my tires
