    yeah, I guess you could just open it up. I think you and I just have a different idea of what functional is. I think of functional as performing a function. Like providing air, cooling etc. oh well :) yeah, opening it up would help with the hood lifting issues

    Even if it’s not ‘functional’ - if you think it looks good just do it. Who gives a $*#% what others think or say :) You’re the one that has to look at it every day.

    Still need to do lots of body work (days worth) but slapped the ol’ girl on with the dip job before work this morning. mixed emotions, but overall glad I’m trying to see this vision through. Just wish it wasn’t taking so gd long!

    Actually, I think it does! one of the valves is already leaking and causing rough(er) idle. I replaced a laundry list of parts, finally taking it to a toyota specialist the other day thinking at 182k she needed a valve adjustment - going to see if I can get the ol’ girl through the winter then see where the funds are for new head...+ super charger..While I just happen to be in the region tinkering.

    Love the hood dump! wicked custom, but agreed a scoop or dump will let unwanted crap in...in our case being in the north road salt being our worst enemy!
