Can someone tell me what this relay (circled in red) is labeled or would be used for with the intended factory option and if it has a corresponding fuse in the underhood fuse box?

I would like to use that un-used relay position in the underhood fuse box of my 2014 DC TRD OR to power my C-Tek battery charger that charges by aux battery. I plan to energize the relay with IGN power so the C-Tek only gets power when the Ign is on. I found this nice un-used relay spot in the underhood fuse box but I can't figure out what fuse is powering the relay contact. All the other relays have fuses feeding the contact side of the relay so I figure this must as well. I haven't take the fuse box apart yet but it almost looks like there's a buss bar feeding the contact terminal of the relay socket meaning it's not fused but all the other relays have fuses in series with their contact terminal. I've searched the forum and opened about 38 pdf wiring diagrams and still can't figure it out.

    Thanks

Hard to tell front the pic, but looks like the is no wiring in that relay spot so you can run all your own wiring and use whatever empty fuse spot.

There is one terminal in that socket that has +12V, trying to figure out if it's fused.

Aside from that, anyone have a source for the terminals that go into the fuse block for the relay sockets? There must be a little tang on the terminal to hold them in the socket so a standard crimp 1/4" disconnect terminal won't work. I spent 30 minutes in the local Toyota parts dept today and we couldn't find a Toyota part number for the terminals.

I think most stuff are switched/fused on the ground side.

gotblika & cwadeg: thanks, that's what I was after. That relay spot isn't going to work for my purpose.

Most of the relays I've investigated are switched to ground to energize but the fuses are on the +12V side.

I ended up tapping into the Trailer Battery Charger circuit in the cab behind the driver's side toe kick at connector IB1, it's a 30A fused circuit that relay switched from ignition. Just what I wanted. I don't plan on towing an RV with a battery so it should be just fine to power my C-Tek on board charger.

I did find a write up by Bill2008 where he wired into the factory fuse box and has some part number for the terminals needed in case anyone finds that helpful:

I ended up using the un-used Seat Htr fuse spot to power my after-market seat heaters that already had a relay.

I went to junk yard and salvage a couple of terminals with wire out of a Toyota T100 fuse box. I also grabbed a couple of the mini-ATC terminals in case I need them.

I inserted the flat terminal into the Seat Htr spot which is a jcase fuse not a mini-ATC, that fuse was fed from the bus bar so it's always on. Getting the terminal in there was a hassle since I could barely lift the fuse Bos high enough to get good access under it. Removing the bolts that hold the fuse box the fender helped get out of the way so I could access the guts. I like this solution for adding power to the start battery now that my aux battery is feeding my aux fuse panel. Using this otherwise in-used fuse spot is really clean even if it's a pain.

Thanks to @Bill2008 for his post that help with disassembling the fuse box.
