He's 20" inside spread. Got the body of a fat quarter horse.

Jerky day! This is the deer I got two weeks ago. I soaked it in water and salt and changed it several times to get all the blood out. Wife got some marinade. Marinated it for two days. Borrowed my boss mans dehydrator until I can get another one so I could do both flavors today. Got 6 more bags after these two.

Jerky is done. I forgot how much work goes into it and how little you get after dehydration then everybody you tell you made jerky they want some. No wonder it’s $20 a lb in a store.

this was 2 packs the processor sliced. We got 8 bags from that deer.

My buddy that shot this deer just stopped by on his way home to get his jerky I promised him. He said this buck was chasing a doe at 140 yards and he aimed about 2 feet in front of him and shot. Said he folded up like an accordion. He said you can’t hit them if you don’t shoot at them :D

Nothing like a good hair pulling hoof fight.

OR she could be saying “you think I should get this checked out?”

Whole lot of "be quiet" and some squirrels and a possum this evening but it was a nice evening for the 4 of us to share a shooting house... (We got a new puppy today)

Got my preferred deer rife out to the gun range this morning. CVA 7mm-08. This is interesting, my first 5 shots where with 139 grain Hornady bullets which I always use. The next 4 shots where Remington 160 grain bullets. After firing 10 rounds my accuracy always drops. Those are the other 4 shots. Lol.
