Hey everyone, first post, long time lurker. I was driving without my music on today and I had my AC at the lowest setting. I hear a faint whine coming from the passenger footwell. I look into it further and it's definitely coming from the blower motor. So I'm wondering if I'm going crazy or is this pretty damn loud? I know there was a TSB for the blower motor for earlier 3rd gens.
I've attached a video. The video is taken from the passenger side and the camera is near my knees. I alternate turning the fan from low to the click right above it. Truck has 2200 miles :notsure:

    Thanks guys

I just pulled it and I ended up taking out a handful of small leaves. I THINK the problem is resolved but at this point I'm so hyperaware of it I might just be hearing it because I'm listening for it/I'm crazy. I did run the fan with the filter out just to see if it was making any weird noises.. nothing that I saw from up top. I hope this is resolved.

Just did mine the other day, I was relieved how easy it was. For my Altima, I had to sit upside down in my passenger seat to get that thing out..

Leaf likely inside the fan. This is a common issue with 5th gen 4runners as well. If the above suggestions don’t work maybe seek to have the blower fan replaced. Here’s a video that helped me:

That ain't nothing.. Had a sentra come in earlier this week, complaining about blower noises. Original filter, over 100k on the clock. On the driver side, behind the gas pedal. Literally had to tear the original out, vacuum clean, compressed air clean, and jam the new one back in. Fun stuff!
