How does 600$ for an OEM hood with scoop sounds? Color is 8S6 or Nautical blue which it has been super hard to find. What do you guys think?

That's a good deal if it's already colormatched to your truck.

That what I figure, they originally wanted it 700 but they took 600 at the end.

Most of the costs from those that have bought a scooped hood is getting it professionally painted to match. You got a heck of a deal if it's in good shape.

If you can find your color for $600, that's a real deal. From what I've seen, roughly $600 for new hood + $600 more for paint. You're in for appx. 1/2 price. Congrats.

I got mine for 250 out of a junkyard. Getting it color matched only ran me 220 bucks because I have some good connections.

I was under the impression that you saw and bought it locally. Hopefully shipping is free and it looks as good in person as in the pics(usually not the case when I check out vehicles). Keep us updated when you receive it.

Good deal & good luck getting it shipped in good shape. FWIW when I was a body shop grunt years ago, a new 'factory' hood that needed work (due to shipping) was fairly common. Plus side, the factory would usually compensate/discount for damage.

Years ago when i had my Jeep. I bought a AEV heat reduction hood and had it painted to match. I had it shipped directly to the body shop. It came in with a slight dent in the middle of the hood and after prime and paint it cost me around $1400. In the end it was worth it the hood looked bad ass on the Jeep B50FA49C-AB3A-4CC6-B9D8-93AFD0587741.jpg

So here is the outcome, i end up not buying the used hood since it had some damage. I bought a new one and also a rear bumper. Feels great to get rid of the chrome completely.
