    Sounds like a lot of complicated mods

    Not sure if I want to go that far

    Thoughts on minimum additional add-ons ?

    Here’s what I have
    K&N cold air intake
    JBA headers
    JBA cat back exhaust

    Want to add supercharger and unichip which is programs for these mods.

    Just concerned about being lean

    No chip just the Split Sec FTC piggy back which is tunable.
    Can't speak for the Unichip. BTW are you going with or without the 7th injector?
    You will probably be lean with the mods you have and stock injectors, however, since you have a 04, it is a little different. You have wide band O2's stock and
    mine is a narrow band O2. Your injectors may be a litter bigger if I recall correctly. They changed them for the wideband v6

    No emissions testing here and nothing complicated other than tuning and once you know what you are doing it is not hard with a wide band O2

    I'm at 4200 here in Las Cruces

    I have the 7th and honestly, if I were to do it again I would do a methanol kit instead.

    The URD 7th doesn't do a good job of cooling the intake to the supercharger, and heat soak is a big problem for these superchargers because we don't have intercoolers on them like the 2nd gen Tacoma superchargers have.

    Methanol kits not only increase the octane rating of the fuel to get rid of any lean issues, but they also do a great job of considerably cooling the intake.

    Also, the 7th injector comes 'pre-tuned' and the tune it uses out of the box isn't great...at least it wasn't for me. I still have pretty bad pinging issues even with the 7th injector. And because the software for the kit is so old now, it's difficult to customize.

    Methanol kits are considerably cheaper as well.

    Neither kit is smog legal in CA or any state that uses CA smog laws, so take that in consideration too if you have to

    Do you think bigger injectors, cooler plugs and a fan would work in place of methane or a 7th?

    Trying to still pass emissions
    Colorado has not adopted the CA requirements , yet. But, not sure what the omissions control place would say if they saw the methane injection under my hood .

    Thoughts?

    I know that @1997tacomav6 lives in CO and has a methanol kit

    Cooler plugs are necessary with the supercharger no matter what, even without fuel mods.

    Bigger injectors are an option over the 7th or methanol, URD sells a larger injector kit...it's also not smog legal in CA but probably harder to detect. In CA there really aren't any CA legal mods you can do to the supercharger, unless you're able to find a TRD 7th injector from way back when they used to sell them but they're rare to find these days.

    I have the 7th and live in CA, I passed my first smog test with it on but I have the stricter test coming up this year...we'll see how that goes

    I’m in Colorado,
    I actually just disconnect the power to the methonal control box which is by the radiator and disconnect the methonal lines to the intake and put the old stock pulley back on just to be safe.
    The test is every two years and takes 15 minutes to disconnect the system and put the old stock pulley back on that puts out 6 pounds of boost instead of 10 pounds

    No issues because it’s not connected for the testing.

    I’m in Colorado and didn’t go the 7th injection route.
    The methonal setup was all I needed but it depends if your motor is ping happy and or what size pulley you go with. Each truck is a little different including if you have a 5 speed or auto

    Anyways now he knows the difference between stock and supercharged.
