BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
You’re sure you’re turning the filter the correct way to remove? If you lay on your back behind the front passenger side wheel and look up the filter is removed counter clockwise

Yes, still applies. The oil filter body has to handle the pressure of the oil in it. I have seen oil filters with a dent in them split open from the pressure. A pair of water pump pliers on there! That can cause some damage.

He never got the old one off, after attempting with water pump pliers, he just changed the oil and left the filter in place. He is leaving the filter for the dealer when he takes the truck in for it's first service.

Should start taking bets on how long before we see the thread "All the oil is on the ground and my engine is toast! Am I still covered under warranty?"

2019-09-21 18.02.26-1.jpg Changed mine at 1800 miles..it was the job from hell. None of my filter wrenches would take it off. Had to go buy a wrench specifically made for it. So much for the hand tight theory

They used to hire out of work sumo wrestlers, I'm sure... but then they moved production to Alabama, so I don't think there are too many sumo wrestlers in the area looking for work.

Just lots of lonely men who watch lots of porn and eat cheesies in their spare time. Fore arm strength is off the charts!
