Where do you guys go to get your trucks dirty? Obviously the beach, and I've hit some of the unpaved roads in Pocomoke state forest in the wife's 4runner. Anywhere else that is fun?

I was talking to a local last time I was there and they said that ever since the town won the "Coolest Small Town" award, the city council raped the locals with taxes and inflation.

Yeah the taxes there are insane. The town bought the land across from Burley oak, which is a huge mess, to make a park. It has toxic water or something. They just make bad financial decisions. That being said, it's an awesome town. Every bar is like cheers, friendly people everywhere. I work at burley oak on Saturdays, if any of you guys stop in, your first beer is on me.

I neve thought about Pocomoke State Forest. Any lengthy trails to go for a ride? I kinda thought it was all for hikers and horses.

Yea, we are big into surf fishing so we frequent the beach alot.

Not lengthy by any means, but I started making a custom Google map with unpaved roads, there are a few miles in the state forest. Nothing crazy, but nice for a Sunday with the wife, dog and kiddo. Would love to find some other cool spots to hit nearby.

How is the beach on your truck? I have a shitty bronco ii I took out there for awhile, but it's not really trustworthy. I am a little afraid of taking my brand new truck or her 4runner with less than 15,000 miles out there. Just seems like the sand will destroy stuff, at the same time, I really want to take the Taco out there. I'm sure it would be a blast. I suck at surf fishing, all I catch is a buzz. But we like to hike out there, and just chill on the beach.

Yea, that sounds like some good fun. My truck is coming up on 4 years old and has seen the beach frequently every year. I think I took it out when it still had temp tags on it honestly.

When I get home, I always spray off the frame and under carriage to limit the amount of sand and salt. I think my truck is in alot better shape than trucks that see road salt up north.

This was one of our last trips before it cooled off big time. My buddy in the silver t4r still had temp tags on when this happened. We actually high tailed it soon after this picture and I was pretty much full throttle in soft and soupy sand trying to get back to dry land. Hindsight, we probably would have better just to wait out highrise where we were instead of trying to drive through it.

Oh man that is wild, I would not be happy about that situation. Looks like an adventure though, and a good memory. Love the superwhite, that's what my taco is too!

I would say it's the opposite, I avoid OC like the plague, and most of my friends do too. Barmuda triangle is fun, and so is ducks, but you won't see any of us at seacrets. Berlin is its own little ecosystem, much more chill and community oriented.

I was being sarcastic about OC. Place use to be cool. Now it’s for wannabe thugs and too fast too furious crowd in the summer. :burnrubber::burnrubber:

Just wanted to share the map I made of some public dirt roads out here. If you know of more please let me know and I will add them. Please use this map respectfully, we have very few places to get our trucks dirty out here. Any and all feedback is totally appreciated.

Awesome! I've always wondered if there were places in the Pocomoke State Forest you could take a Sunday drive through.
