What is a really clean low mileage single cab worth these days?

5100's with OME 883, Dakar's, SCS Ray 10, 285/75/16 Cooper STT Pro, LCE header, Magnaflow exhaust, ARE shell, Addicted offroad front plate bumper with Warn VR8S
I have considered putting my first gen single cab up for sale to move onto a newer truck, however what are these things going for these days?

    Truck is a 1999 4cyl 5speed
    106k miles
5100's with OME 883 and Dakars in the rear
LCE header with full Magnaflow exhaust
Addicted Offroad Bumper with Warn VR8S winch
    ARE shell
New ball joints, brakes, plugs, wires, etc
16x8 SCS Ray 10's with 285/75/16 Stt Pro with less than 3k miles

I am sure I am forgetting stuff but that is a fairly accurate list for now

Have you looked on craigslist in your area for what people are asking for similar trucks?

What it's "worth" depends on how much the person you're talking ti is willing to pay.

I'd figure out a number that YOU want to get for it. Say that's 6 grand. Post it for that much. If you get 25 calls a day for it, it's worth more than that. If no one calls, it's worth less.

I live in Indiana in right smack in the middle of the rust belt. You don't see clean ones that have no frame patches or without any frame rust at all. I just was hoping for some insight as far as a starting number as I know a dealership will not value my old 2 seater truck.

Yeah, a dealership ain’t gonna play fair on trade in. Highly advisable to sell privately.

I recommend spending some time on Craigslist, Cargurus, Autotrader, etc. to get a feel of the market rate of vehicles similar in condition and modification as yours.

If you take it to a dealership, they'll give you maybe $5k if you're lucky and then turn around and sell it for north of $10k.

Sell it privately, I don't know what they go for in your area but here in the southwest (CA) that would fetch 10 grand easily I bet.

I did call the bank and giving age and mileage, they will still loan $12k on it as an auto loan. That's impressive in my opinion

Then I would cast a wide net for sure. The wider the net you cast, the more likely you find that one person willing to pay a premium for what you have. There's a for sale section on this forum, post it there, too.

Rust free is definitely a gem, but aside from that, you don't have anything too "special" that adds value (i.e. TRD with locker, etc...). I would focus on that and your maintenance history in your adds.

However, just a warning: I have seen NUMEROUS threads where people sell their best gens and get a newer one and end up missing their old truck.

When I bought my '17 4Runner, I kept the Taco. It's my play truck now.

Nice. That was a good idea for establishing value, too.

    I'd pay $5k for that.

If it has OEM parts and some type of service records, it's worth more.

Since I do all my own work (except for the engine rebuild and transmission rebuild), I have a detailed spreadsheet outlining everything as my maintenance record. Date, mileage, cost, description, part numbers, source, receipts.

You don't buy a truck for its fucking fenders!
    2.5" lift w/35's
I would say 8k-10k would be a fair range. Anything more than that and you'll be waiting for the right buyer. If you want to sell it fast, I bet at 8k it would be gone tomorrow
