I’m looking for a tailgate brake light that mounts under the tailgate. Looks like it would need to be two piece so you can access the hole to let down the spare tire. Pictures of what you have would be great.

Wal Mart has this one. They are tied together but enough slack between each light. Also its a turn signal light.

    ... bruh.
Get the Opt7 one from here: http://www.opt-7.com/redline-triple-led-tailgate-light-bar-with-reverse-sequential-turn-signals/
Only $80 (our trucks use the 48" version) and you can get sequential turn signals out of it; I have the one with red turn signals and it's great. Solid LED light with no "breaks" within the pattern and you can install it low enough to leave just enough room to lower the tire. The hole will still be covered somewhat, but you still have enough room to take the spare tire out.
P.S. Just in case you do cover the spare tire hole, this is on their site: "Spare Tire Access Port Accessibility: The Redline Triple LED will cover any existing spare tire access ports. However, the spare tire can still be accessed and lowered using the proper socket wrench from underneath the vehicle."

That is nice, but I actually like the broken pattern.
That's why they make different products. People like different things.

I was literally going to ask the same question. I keep seeing goodyled ads on my Facebook feed.
