Saw this on an old Rockford amp

I read more on it with some guys on an audio forum i frequent and you can pretty much do this on any amp. It's not just the speakers/amp that allow you do accomplish it. You're essentially building an entire passive crossover network. Think of it like a set of tower speakers at home you power with two channels of your receiver...same thing really.

 

figured this would be good for a small set-up (like in an AC truck since most say the back speakers aren't needed). Plus you only need one amp which is cool beans too. Just need one that is able to handle what you got total. Also for a SC truck but that's a given lol.

I may do this though (saw an AC taco with the amp on the roof) want to try my hand at it but with a 2 channel and doing the tri-mode deleting the rear door speakers I have and using comps up front with my 10" kicker in the back (later maybe changing it to some ED 6.5's).

 

You know it's way more than just wiring up the speakers right? There are resistors and capacitors (of specific values) wired into the system as well. You can't just hook up all the speakers and go for it.
