What's the difference between the multiterrain monitor vs the surround view monitor? I cant figure this out. And how does it differ from the off road to the pro? It looks like the pro gets two options and the off road just one, being the MTM.
But Im looking at photos of an off road online and I see what looks like the surround view monitor and you press it twice and it goes to the front cam. Im confused.

Same camera system from what I can tell but the MTM comes on when you engage 4lo. It gives you close in views of the side of the truck and if you go far enough, it'll also record the front area and then allow you to "see" under the engine by playing back the video as you drive.

I have the 2020 Tacoma OR Prem /advance Tech and from my test drive on the Pro vs OR, there is no difference in the camera. The difference, again from what I seen, between MTM and 360 (surround) is that when engaged in 4LO the MTM will show the front camera and 360 so you can see directly in front of you, while the normal mode shows the reverse camera and 360 around you.

I would test drive both to make sure though, I may have missed something.

Don't stress it, I have the MTM and the cameras are crap. I wish I just had the backup camera from the 2016. It looks like a smugged up 1990s spy camera. Disappointed doesn't explain it

This isn't necessarily true. I have a 6MT Pro which doesn't have crawl control, but does have MTM.

You actually do, the difference is the screen size and they did not up the resolution of the camera. HOWEVER with that said, I find the 360 and MTM views well worth the price, it has already helped me in tight spots.. course I do not need to read how many pebbles are on the ground, just things that will damage my truck.

I would bet that someone would eventually make a plug-n-play upgrade to the cameras if enough people are unhappy with them

I am new to Tacoma, just going by the manual and dealer, the 6MT does not come with crawl control but does MTM, however the Sport does not come with either and no trim below that.

The reason 6MT does not come with crawl control is the MT.
