The bit where they mentioned the "BBQ guy" complimenting Ty on talking about the different BBQ woods was me ;).

I'll keep you posted if it comes to fruition. Busy period of time for a lot of people right now, so it might not be until early next year.

Just like a nice cut of meat on the smoker, that stream will be well worth the wait.

Trying a new one tonight. Pretty damn tasty. Moderately priced.

It’s not whiskey but since it was finished in Lagavulin barrels thought it was relevant. I’m a big fan of DJ Repo day to day so I thought I’d give this one a shot when I spotted it. Really enjoyed it, you get hints of the peat and smoke without totally loosing the tequila flavor. Makes for a nice slightly more complex and robust flavor profile. All in all I’d recommend although the price point was a bit steep.

I like a good Anejo now and then.
Mostly when I'm not in a Whisky mood I trend towards barrel-aged rums, though.

I was actually thinking about seeing if the local liquor store has any. I'm out of Tequila except for my Gas Monkey Cinnamon Tequila.

Please let me know. They are having liquor problems here right now so getting a lot of stuff is hard. Guess the major distributor for MI opened a new warehouse and is having all sorts of computer issues.

Supposedly very good. They were in super demand earlier this year. I've seen the 750s and 1.75s here. Almost bought for the bottle too :D

I think @bvbull200 has had some?

It as good reviews on MOM, but I've found that pretty much everything that pops up on there has pretty good reviews, lol.

Lol! That's like asking "what's she look like" and getting "she has a nice personality" as a response. Everyone has different tastes so I'd be interested to see what you think. I still have 1/2 bottle of the one I bought a year ago. Periodically I try it but just can't like it, nor can I bring myself to dump it down the drain. It does have good reviews so it's probably just me.

Just like @916carl said, everyone has different tastes. I can tell you what *I* wouldn't buy, but can't tell anyone else what *they* shouldn't buy. It isn't like you paid 3x market value for some bottom-shelf swill. It is a badass looking bottle and there is something to having a little shelf presence. Give it a taste and let us know what you think.

I can't be all eloquent and descriptive like y'all about the taste and the finish etc.. what I can say is that it's super smooth to me even at 122 proof (Batch B519). The bottle I purchased before was the same batch but it was $80 so seeing it for $60 is awesome!
And yes.. I went to both Costcos in Omaha.. same batch numbers. I've seen online other batch numbers with different proofs.
