that’s all that matters. It’s not a huge issue obviously, but it was enough for me to look at springs that were designed and tested for the Tacoma.

I have also seen people seek out Hilux specific springs to use on Tacoma’s for excess weight.

“This is a serious issue during hard off road use, especially when the rear axle is articulated with one rear wheel compressed up, and the other rear drooped out, the 2nd leaf below the main leaf slides out to hit the shackle. Worse, during droop, the rear of 2nd leaf emerges from the shackle cavity, then slides out of alignment (due to normal spring mechanics), and now will jam into side ribs of the shackle as wheel goes back towards normal ride height. This results in dangerous binding forces, terrible embarrasing popping noises, and damage even to STOCK shackles and hangers.”

    Check the shackles.

People are cutting the 2nd leaf to stop the binding. It’s in the hammer hanger thread.

Hope they work well for you. I’m excited to get mine in.

Dobinsons can take the same amount of abuse that the Deavers can if you decide to start wheeling

I know my 2wd will never have the potential that your 4wd does, but doesn't stop me from enjoying myself. And yes I enjoy most of the funny one liners on TW not just the ones poking at Scotty.
