My wife recently experienced something odd. Her phone (iPhone XR) updated as they all are want to do. Shortly thereafter when she's playing music the radio resets. All audio stops, and the display on the radio and the DIC in between the gauges goes blank. The radio then resets like you just turned the truck on. Anyone else experience this recently? I have seen some of the older threads, but nothing relating specifically to the phone paired. My LG V50 does not have the same effect on it, works just fine.

I took a 5 minute drive last night in my '18, and my radio reset 8 times in that time period. I have an iPhone 8 and updated a bit ago, but it just started last night. Most irritating thing in the world.
In the older threads everyone said software update for the radio, but I feel like it is something deeper here

That's exactly what is happening to hers. If I change inputs it stops. Only on the Bluetooth audio on an iPhone does it reboot constantly.

Mines gone bonkers as well. After a three year saga of replacement and adjustments I simply acknowledged I got ripped off with a factory JBL. Next time I’ll get the crappy radio on purpose and go aftermarket immediately.

Or get rid of the crappy iPhone, and cross over to the Android dark side, a much cheaper option.

It only just started happening. And convincing her to get rid of her iphone? Might as well tell her to sell our daughter. At this point the phone and her are like a retarded terminator that drinks too much wine.

I have an iphone Xs, and I never update as soon as the chit update software comes out. I ussually wait till they come out with a fix to the previous software screw-up.

No issues yet, but if I had, I'd erase it from the HU and reinstall from scratch.

    Good luck

My Fix: I was going through this Entune constant reboot as well with my iPhone 11 Pro Max and iOS13. The issue ended up being related to the number of contacts I had on the iPhone and the changes in iOS13 related to the way contacts are stored and processed. The fix (so far) was as simple as selecting Sync Contacts and then Sync Favorites and then Sync Recents in the bluetooth section of the iPhone under Toyota Tacoma or Car Accessories, depending on which one your iPhone sees, (while bluetooth is either connected to head unit or not). I did not select Sync All Contacts. The reboots have stopped and all is well after 5 days of driving since the change from Sync All Contacts. I had almost 1,000 contacts and I am in the process of cutting those down to under 300. Once I accomplish that I will try to Sync All Contacts again and see how that goes. Either way, syncing favs only is a good compromise for the time being. On iPhone with iOS13... Settings>Bluetooth>the i in a circle to the right of your Tacoma>enable Show Notifications>enable Sync Contacts>enable Phone Favorites>enable Phone Recents>DISABLE All Contacts. I hope this helps some of you, the constant rebooting of the head unit is absolutely maddening.
