So I’ve got a problem with my heat in my 00 SR5 Tacoma. I’ll be driving down the road, hit a bump and the heat cuts off, and won’t come back on until I hit another bump. Anyone know where to begin with this problem?

Does the blower quit? If so, bad connection at the motor or possibly wonky switch.

    Welcome to TW!

Honestly it sounds like a loose wire... :)

I remember one time my dad rented a Ford E350 UHAUL van (about a 2006 model year, which was around ten years old at the time). The A/C blew ICE COLD, but whenever my dad gunned it going up a hill, the blower would cut out. This was a 10-year old vehicle with 100K miles, and I'd never seen anything like this.

I am guessing you mean the blower motor quits for coolant to stop flowing would be quite interesting .

Does it happen at all speed settings ? It bypasses the resistor on high see if it shuts off on high

I would look at the blower motor resistor !!

Loose connections are going to cause heat and arcing

    How many miles ??
