Just purchased a new to me 2016 TRDOR and i love it. Seeing as how i have a little girl that loves the outdoors and me being the person i am..id like to get my tacoma to a point where i can access those out of the way campsites a little easier.

Im 45min from Uwharrie. 5 hours from the outer banks and have quite a few more local areas that are accessible for camping and enjoying gods playground.

So bear with me and fallow along. I will update as often as possible.

The way she sits now as of 3-29-21

20191113_172016~2.jpg This is how she sat the day i picked her up. Other than the running boards and a set of 265 70 Open Country A/T's she was all stock.

Running boards have since been removed(free to a good home btw).

WeatherTechs and a WeatherGuard box have been added recently. Next on the list is onboard air and a small leveling kit just to get rid of the rake.

Finally got my Toyota door sill protectors installed and snapped a pic this afternoon with the toolbox mounted.

Also added a bed mat to the shortlist of "wants"

Hope everybody had a great thanksgiving!

Next on the list is suspension. Thinking about 6112's and 5160's. Single AAL. Jurys still out, with progress being this slow ive got plenty of time to think about it.

Wheels and tires are after the lift. Prob going T4R pros and another A/T tire.

Time to update the build thread. Got my eiback pro lift on. Set to lowest notch on the coilovers. 1" block in the back.

My swaybar ended up touching the coil perch after the lift so i picked up a supreme suspension sway bar relocation kit.

Eibach kit out of the box.

    20200713_220639.jpg

Discount tire did a great job mounting the new coopers. Very satisfied customer.

where did you go through the firewall for the antenna cable and where did you tap in for your power? I’m planning on going the same Midland route... struggling w/ antenna location and mount. looks clean from your pics... any advice is appreciated.

So let me first say im not an electrician but im capable of wiring things with out the fear of doing damage to components.

With that said you have an unused grommet on the upper corner of the firewall on the drivers side. Pope that out and you have enough room to run the coax and your power and ground.

The MXT275 is wired with a 12vDC adapter. I cut that off and ran power straight to the positive on the battery and the ground to the ground stud on the driver's side fender right next to the negative battery post.

All in all an easy job.
