Automatic Lights Not Working

I think there may be some confusion here.
To verify, we are talking about Auto lights not the Auto High beam feature, correct?

Auto headlights. As far as I know the 2017 doesn’t have auto high beams.

 

I wanted to verify because I think that other post was referring to Auto High Beams. At least it sounded like the direction he was going.

 

Just to make sure nothing somehow got reset, have you gone into the head unit under customization and checked the light sensor sensitivity?

 

Yeah I checked that. Settings are unchanged

 

Sounds like you covered all the simple stuff. Sorry I couldn't do more for you.
I wouldn't think a fuse could be bad because the lights work manually. Other than that, without looking at the service manual I am out of ideas for now.

You're welcome. I had the manual downloaded but can't seem to locate it right now. If I can come across it I will see if it has any diagnostic procedures. Not sure how I can miss it, it is a large file.

I once got stuck in an automatic revolving door.

 

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for a few? Not sure if that will do anything but its a quick easy thing to try at home, perhaps worth a shot?

Wonder if there is any type of fuse that the sensor goes to.

 

I mean, I can turn the lights on manually but I've gotten so used to them doing their thing automatically that I know eventually I'll forget to turn them off and come out to a dead battery.

This is my first ride with auto lights. I can't go back to that peasant lifestyle.
