I get really overwhelmed when I step back and look at the forest, but if I step in and deal with one tree at a time I can get more done. I can't imagine the forest you're dealing with, but one tree at a time my friend.

For those of you who have replaced the rear springs on your truck, how long did it take you? I realize there is variability in the process like seized bolts, beer breaks, and the like. I've got everything I need (I think...), I'm just trying to get an idea of how long I should plan for. I'm pretty handy, so I know I can handle the job, just need to make sure I budget enough time.

Spray every fastener down at least a couple times well before you swap 'em. Saves on cussin' & hurt knuckles. :)

Did mine solo, shocks too. Took about four hours including breaks and using only hand tools.

A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
Disconnect the brake line bracket on the axle that holds the two soft lines. Disconnect the ebrake cables from the axle and frame. Remove both rear shocks. Support axle. Remove the nuts from the leaf spring to frame and shackle bolts on both sides. Remove ubolts from leaf spring you'll swap, one side at a time. Lower axle enough to free the leaf from it. Remove bolts from leaf spring and remove leaf pack from vehicle. Swap shackle over to new leaf spring. Insert new leaf pack to truck and install bolts same way they were removed. Raise axle and insert center pin from leaf in to the notch on axle. Tighten ubolts to 85ft#'s making sure threads on all 4 bolts are even. Do other side just the same. Once done, lower axle and insert shocks to lower mounts, then raise axle to insert them in to upper mount. Tighten lower mount to 73ft#'s, upper is dependent on shock manufacture spec. If you have poly bushings on leaf packs, tighten bolts any time to 85ft#'s. Runner bushings, axle must be at full rest compression to tighten. Bolt down all your brake lines, snug is fine, dont snap those bolts. Re install wheels, put truck on ground, torque wheel lugs to 85ft#'s, then test drive. Come back and retorque all bolts including ubolts. My personal best is 1.25hrs.

First time solo 4.5 hours due to my own lack of experience. 2nd time had help took 40 min just leaf packs. Now I could probably do it 2-3 if I don’t encounter any issues.
