Ive been keeping my eye out for a number of black friday deals but I just moved to an apartment where all parking is in a parking garage. Im wanting to do 35s 3inch and a roof top tent but questioning if I could fit with the tent. Does someone have a good est of how tall your ride is with those in mind?

How do you plan on mounting the tent? Low profile rack, mid height rack, cab height rack, or on the roof of the truck?

How high is the parking garage as well?

I have 33's and a 3" lift and used to have the CBI rack I could fit my truck in a 7' tall garage.

Now I have my tent mounted on top of a cap so I need 7'6" of clearance.

It'll also depends on the rack that you get. With my bed bars, my tent is just under or flush with the roof of my truck. Obviously, if you get taller bars/rack, your tent will stick up anywhere from 1 to 10"

Measure current height of your vehicle:

Use tire size calculator to figure out the height difference of new tires and divide by two:

Look at manufacturer height of tent + mounting hardware:

    Current + (Tire diff/2) + tent = height(ish).

    Garage clearance minus new number^

No one can tell you the height of your garage and your truck based on theirs. Just use numbers

EDIT: forgot to say to add 3 for your lift as well but I think you’d have figured that out ha.

    Roughly speaking

Tires 4in taller divided by 2 is 2
    3 inch lift
About a foot for tent plus mounting

18” taller than now should be a safe bet.

Don't forget to add some wiggle room for ramps. There's going to be something like an upside-down breakover angle in most garages.

You will need the equation below to figure out the answer to your question.

We have some stupid low garages in CA with a 7' height limit, I've learned the hard way I can't go into those. The roof rack on my 1st gen with the LEDs end up smacking the warning sign.

With a cab height rack you're likely looking at over 7 ft.

    Stock height: 70"
    + 3" lift: 73"
    + 35's: ~75" new cab height

    + 12-16" for a tent

    = 87-91" (7'3" - 7'7")
