Im on my way home from work when the truck suddenly refused to move. It’s throwing a PO300, PO305, PO306 code. Should I just call a tow truck? If I turn it off for a while it comes back to life but only for about 10 min then it starts acting up again. It bucks all over the place and eventually it seems like it cuts all power because the RPMs shoot up but the truck won’t move faster than like 5mph.

Might be the crankshaft position sensor. Seeing how it’s under warranty call for a tow.

Don't chance it. Have it towed.

Any mods on the truck, engine wise?

    Maaaan.. what a day.
GF of 9 years dumped me, got a parking ticket, and was stranded on my way back home.. on top of a pretty crappy shift. One hell of a day. Fortunately It’s under warranty, and I know this stuff happens. I think everything else just made this worse.

Ok So if I hold it in gear at a higher RPM it seems normal-ish. Probably a stupid idea but I’m driving it home. I’m half way there anyways.

If you shut the engine off and restart misfire codes usually go away and you it’ll drive and run like normal. I’d do that over driving it in reduced power mode.

I love how you mention breaking up with your GF of 9 years, then two lines later you're like "but anyways..." and go right back to diagnosing your truck issue.:rofl::rofl:

Keep us updated on the results, and hope your day gets better

    And I’m home.
so I had to turn it off about 4 times, at one point it said high transmission temps. Turned it on, drove it above 4K RPMS, and eventually It somewhat went away. It still idled a bit rough, but it was definitely drivable. I’d say it was 95% better. Check engine light is still on though.

i won’t get a change to see the dealership until the weekend but I’ll update the thread when I get in for service.

The GF's don't come with any extended warranties.

If it's constantly cyl 5/6 then it's probably not the crank sensor or bad fuel. More likely to be an oddball flakey ignition coil or injector (or mice chewed on wires!). Shouldn't be too hard for any competent dealer tech to diagnose.
