Hi gang! Have been lurking a few months and just purchased my first Tacoma a little under a month ago.

Thanks to you all I went ahead and bought the XB LED headlights since the stock halogens were pathetic. I didn't want to mess around with retrofitting or deal with bad output (tacobeast), so this ended up being perfect for my needs. Only a week with them so far but I absolutely love them. The output is nice and crisp, pretty sharp cut off though.

I also picked up some iBoard runners from Amazon which I was a little worried about but once installed, I fell in love. They look great with my taco's color and look that I'm trying to go for.

Anyway, glad to be here and please enjoy a few pics of my beaut:

Did you read through Meso’s review of the Morimoto?

Reviving an old thread here but I’m curious to hear your long term thoughts on the Morimoto’s! I picked up my first Taco a while ago (‘22 SR5, Halogen) and am starting to think about new headlights. I’ve had bad experiences with aftermarket lights before (Spyder) but have heard many good things about these.

I have them. I still need to aim them a little better since I got a lift on my truck now, but they are awesome headlights and won't require a custom aftermarket harness. Totally plug and play

And since you have an SR5, like me, you get to have white AND amber drls depending on your stalk setting

Forgive me for my ignorance, just starting to look at aftermarket headliights. The amber DRLS won't work for a TRD OR?

If you buy the amber version, ya they will work.

Mine are the white version, but because my drl signal is the same wire as my turn signal on an SR5 (don't have dedicated drls like trds), I can use amber or white drl on the morimtos depending on what stalk setting I use. I shared a video of my headlights somewhere in here

Morimoto XB LED Head & Fog Lights, Cali Raised Stealth Light bar, OEM Roof Rack, Homelink Compass Mirror, Power Tailgate Lock, LED bed lights, MESO mirrors, gashole, switch panel & Stage 2 tails, PRO grille. Where's the mall?
Chiming in here - bought the OG Morimotos in 2019 from TRS and they are still going strong! Love the way they look and no issues. ONLY complaint I have, and this is with the Gen 1 headlights, is that the high beam performance is weak. I had to add a hidden light bar to help out when in situations where high beams would be warranted. I understand that issue was addressed with the Gen 2 version from what I read here.

Reliability and appearance have been top notch.
