    TT2 (pronounced “tsquared”) as my initials are TT. I am more of a hot rodder as I build 30s and 40s hotrods for myself. But, like others, I have other interests and my daily is an 09 Tacoma extended cab I4 auto I bought used. This is my 4th one as I had an 73 (yep - I am an old guy), 76, then after 30 years an 06, and now this 09. All were I4s and shifters but this last one is an I4 auto. My greatest regret is that 2WD Tacomas could not be had with V6s.

    Since I go to the Carlisle and Hershey swaps as well as others and my Taco does the hauling duties, I would like some more power and better gas mileage if that is possible. I have read the usual light foot, better filters, I run Mobil 1 oil and filter and keep my tires inflated. I have experimented with a 235/75-15” tires out back only because I had an available pair to try from one of my hot rods - good for mileage, not so good for towing.

    So I will lurk for awhile, becone familiar with this board and see how I might make some further improvements in my quest. My main thrust is traditionally styled hot rods but I love my Taco .....
