Just today I got notice from "My healthy vet.com" (VA site) that the VA is extending Exchange benefits to any vet with any level of (0-100%) service connected disability.
This sound great , my question is: Is it worth it for the shopping benefits of their services, or in other words are their prices better than the "regular on-line" world?
Thanks in advance for any enlightenment you may offer to me!
I am especially looking at the prices of new TV's

    Interesting.

My advice would be to cross shop them to other potential competitive prices. Often you will be hard pressed to find pricing better than veteran pricing for certain items. Other times, you may find the pricing on said items is exponentially cheaper than what is being offered to you via those sites or even places like the PX. It just really depends on the item itself.

That being said, I should probably look into that myself. :D

Some stuff yes and some stuff no. The real benefit is it’s tax free

I've taken advantage of it and like it , it's just the travel time to/from which sucks as the closest PX is over 50 miles from my location

I do however shop alot at the VA Patriot store !!!!

If you have an exchange or a commissary close to you then it’s really beneficial. I lived in Hawaii and the commissary is a few miles from my house, and it’s way way way cheaper then Safeway. Im a hundred percent and I’m glad they are allowing service connected vets to use the exchange. The only problem I see is if you don’t have base access then it will be hard to use

Yeah. I'd say the tax free is one of the biggest things

Tax free is great - I will agree. It can save some significant dollars.
My general question is are the prices routinely lower?
Lets do a sample test. If someone who has rights to see the prices on the AAFES website can tell me the price they are asking for a Sony
    XBR65X900F
    Item: #1050241
This would give me a great insight as to whether or not they (exchange services) give good or average or we holp Great deals on electronics.
    Thanks again all

Can a fellow vet look this up and let me know what they are asking at
    https://www.shopmyexchange.com/
They don't show the price to non members.
    Thanks

Thanks, for your reply and checking for me.
That price is about $100 cheaper than they are going for elsewhere.
