Damn straight brother. However, I don’t have any kids in Soccer, so SUV is still a pass for me.

4 runner depends entirely on model and color. Some look ok, others look terrible.

We will agree to disagree. All 4runners look great to me. Just like the Taco, the owner’s taste makes or breaks the vehicle.

this ^ There are some tacky looking taco builds just like there are some tacky looking T4Rs but I see more stock as compared to some of the unsightly 3rd gens I see running around

No thanks. But give me a 4Runner with a 4runner front and I get to park it next to my taco with a taco fascia. Now we talking.

The horsepower ratings are at the crank, not the rear wheels

The 4.0 in the 4runners has 270 HP, so only 8 less than the Tacoma. Plus, it has more torque.

    Now, that's funny!

Interesting coincidence: i drive a 4runner, and I think flathead catfish are super cool! They're less gross looking in person;)

seen a difference of about 40rwhp between 2nd gen and 3rd gen dynojet numbers.

we aren’t talking about 4runners, we are talking about Tacomas. But if that is the case, the 3.5 can also be tuned to a much higher output than that of a 4.0.

Yeah, the Tacoma version of the 1GR really falls on it's face in the high RPM's. Even with 500 extra pounds, my 4runner pulls much harder than my 2015 Taco did.

I was only talking base power numbers. Nobody said anything about tuning potential.

And, if you're already talking about putting a front clip of a 4runner on a Tacoma, I think that opens the door to whichever motor swap you feel like. The comment that brought up the 4.0 didn't specify which version.

As far as the topic at hand, I think the 4runner front end look weird on the Tacoma.

I was thinking the same thing! I like it probably because I can't grow one in real life, I also like the mean 4Runner headlights better than our tacos.
But that's a sweet conversion...I always thought it was photoshopped
