2017 DCSB OR here and I’ve been looking for a simple rock slider like my wrangler used to have. I understand they may not be as functional as others but I like their clean look. Anyone know of a manufacturer that makes something similar?

This is the closest I think you could find to that. They came out recently, idk if a whole lot is really known about them.

Looking closer at the pictures, it appears the tjm "sliders" bolt to the rocker panels, NOT the frame. If that is the case they would be useless as a slider, and cannot be used as steps.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks for those suggestions. I’m curious as well to know for sure on their attachment point. I do like how it hugs the vehicle a bit more.

My truck comes with the factory tube steps and it seems to get more in the way than it is useful. Since I can get into the truck fine I’m looking more for protection and looks than a step.

Besides the TJMs, check out victory4x4 (mash me) and BudBuilt (mash here). No experience with either but I'm eyeing the BudBuilt ones. I like the TJM look but the end caps are what concerns me. Probably nothing to be concerned with but that's what edges me towards the BudBuilt ones. And you can upgrade the material with BudBuilt.

That Bud Built looks great! Even with it coated black at $500 is a deal compared to the pricing of the others. I like how stealthy it is when the door is open. Enough you can still kick the snow off your boots before getting in.

Yeah me too. I'm not going to be doing any rock crawling but I may potentially bottom out driving down some washed out forest service roads. That'll probably be the extent of wheeling in my Tacoma.

If you guys decide to pull the trigger on our rock rails, do it while we have our free shipping promotion going on. Don't want you to spend money you don't need to.
