Where did you get the TRD start stop? Is it a new push start button or a decal overlay?

Damn, by the time I get done it won't be a Toyota Tacoma anymore .It will be a Meso Tacoma. When my Total Tails arrive and get installed I'll be sporting Meso mod #6. Or is it 7?

A long long time ago I popped my chrome rings out an sandblasted/painted them black. It worked, but over time you can really see chips/wear especially on the cup holder surround. The stock parts are electroplated chrome, so nothing really sticks(permanently)
The benefit of a fully injection molded part is the consistent color all the way through. So if you scratch/gouge/etc it will hide it much better.

I am about to start production but would like your guys input on surface finish. As of now the molds are completely smooth. I’m really debating if I should make them have the micro texture(like the key fob, coin holder, etc)
Below you can see smooth(left) Vs Micro texture(right)

Problem is..once you go texture, there’s no going back. Since the mold is sandblasted at that point it cannot revert back to smooth.

Any chance of getting these in Mahogany, Cherry or a Brazilian Burl wood? Granite, Marble or Soap Stone would be nice too!

The smooth shows more of the splay/waviness in the plastic. The textured seems to blend it better and hide minor imperfections. I vote for texture, but less texture than the fobs.

i'd prefer the texture. a little contrast and will stand up to scrubs and dings better most likely... maybe?

It’s not off the table, but most likely down at the bottom of the “mod list”. With only ~5% of manuals in production, then “guesstimate” how many of those people want MESO mods. <0.5%. Production wise it doesn’t really make sense to open up an entire mold ($$) but I’ll see what I can do once the auto guys get taken care of!

exactly. The micro pebble hides scratches and wear much better. It also reflects light in different ways and gives it a cool sheen.
